FedTraining-CommunityForums

Listening to the voices of local industry and local communities

Throughout the months of September and October 2017 Federation Training carried out an extensive round of consultation, including seven two-hour community forums in Traralgon, Moe, Morwell, Warragul, Leongatha, Bairnsdale and Sale. During these forums, members of the community provided feedback about
what they need from their local TAFE. More than 150 people attended these sessions and we received over 500 responses. You’ll find an account of all the conversations that took place below, including a top level summary of the Gippsland wide view of what you told us needs to be done.

Our commitment to you is that by working with local communities and industry partners throughout Gippsland we will provide innovative programs and services that add to the lives of our students, and by extension to the greater good of the Gippsland region. Furthermore we are committed to using your
feedback to develop a comprehensive, community-driven strategic plan that realises our vision to be a leader in education and training, partnering with communities and industry to build a socially vibrant, economically strong Gippsland.

Please feel free to come back to this page for an update of the actions that we have taken as a result of your feedback.
