Fees and Charges

For indicative fee rates relating to eligible, ineligible and concession holders for 2014 courses please view 2014 Tuition Fee schedules (link provided below).

Please note: Student tuition fees are indicative only and subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may also apply such as student services and amenity and materials fees. For an individual quotation of fees payable, please visit your nearest Federation Training campus.

Concession Fees

  • For Certificate I – IV courses - concession fees apply to individuals who hold a current valid concession card at the time of enrolment •   
  • Concession fees also apply to individuals who self-identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • For Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses -  concession fees apply only to students who: - Commenced the course prior to 1 July 2013 and are continuing into 2014 in the same enrolment, and who hold a current valid concession card.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

  • Eligible students will pay the same variable tuition fee rate per hour as specified in the fee schedule
  • Ineligible students will pay a variable tuition fee rate per hour as specified in the fee schedule for an eligible student.

Other Charges

A Student Services and Amenities fee may apply on enrolment. Materials fees may also apply. Purchase of text books may also be required.

Refunds

Unit & Course refunds will apply in the following circumstances;

Federation Training Refund Policy
Student initiated withdrawals within 4 weeks of training commencement – government funded
Full refund of units not yet commenced less:
• $50 administrative charge
• Charge for materials already utilised
Student initiated withdrawals four weeks or more after training has commenced – government funded
Full refund of units not yet commenced less:
• $100 administrative charge
• Charge for materials already utilised
Student initiated withdrawals – commercial programs
Up to 5 days prior to course commencement
• Full refund less $50 administrative charge

Less than 5 days prior to course commencement
• 20% of the course fees refunded (minimum charge $50)
