Course Overview

The two units are conducted as two 4 hour courses held on the same day.

This course is mandatory for all timber harvesting operator licences in Victoria. The Sustainable Forest (Timber Harvesting) Regulations 2006 require anyone engaged in commercial timber harvesting in Victoria’s State forests to hold a Forest Operator’s Licence (FOL). ‘Timber harvesting’ refers to the harvesting of any tree, or part of any tree for the purpose of sale or processing and sale.

This course includes the two units of competence that governing body Forestworks requires you to have successfully completed before they will issue a Forest Operators Licence.
