A one day, hands-on course perfect for people with little or no boating experience.
Designed to give students confidence, the course covers launching the boat, operating it safety within the waters of the Gippsland Lakes system and then putting it safely back onto the trailer.
Students are introduced to ropes and knots, safety equipment, weather information and the correct preparation procedures.
On-water, the trainers talk while the students drive and through practical exercises learn safe boat handling skills, emergency procedures and refresh their knowledge of boating regulations.
Qualifications and RecognitionUpon completion of this course students will receive a Statement of Participation.
