Course Overview

The course combines face-to-face and flexible practical classes with work placement to build your confidence and skills in working with children.

You will also learn how to provide children with a safe and healthy environment and work with children who have additional needs.

Qualifications And Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be at least 17 years of age or over as of course commencement date with a general interest in the Children Services field. Potential students are required to undertake a literacy and numeracy test and interview.

Assessment is based on a combination of written reports, oral presentation, participation in class projects and work place assessment.

Opportunities For Further Study

For graduates of the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care who continue into the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and successfully complete it, there may be articulation into the Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies at Federation University that specialise in Early Childhood Studies.
