Course Overview

This qualification reflects the role of entry level community services workers who support individuals through the provision of person-centred services. Work may include day-to-day support of individuals in community settings or support the implementation of specific community-based programs.

This is an entry level course for students who may not be ready to study higher level qualifications, have lower LLN results, who may not be work ready for industry and may require extra support.

At this level, work takes place under the direction of others and supervision may be direct or indirect. Work may take place in a range of community services organisations.


2 day per week from 9am-3pm.
Traralgon-Monday and Thursday
Warragul-Tuesday and Friday

Qualifications and Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Certificate III in Community Services.

Career Opportunities

At this level, work takes place under direct, regular supervision within clearly defined guidelines.

Opportunities for Further Study

Federation Training offers a number of Certificate IV and Diploma qualifications from the Community Services Training Package
