Course Overview

Federation Training offers accredited and recognised training across two levels of Rigging: Basic and Intermediate.  A Rigging licence is mandatory in Victoria when carrying out rigging duties on any worksite in Victoria.

This course builds on the Rigger's basic skills. The program permits the successful participants to be involved in erecting tilt-up concrete slabs, all kinds of demolition work and the lifting of loads where two or more cranes are required.

What to bring:

The Work Safety Centre is classified as a 'Construction Zone' so the student must wear appropriate safety PPE at all times. As a minimum high visability clothing (shirt or vest) and steel cap safety boots must be worn at all times. In addition please ensure you bring a safety helmet and safety glasses for high risk tasks.

Students are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to commencement of training and also bring the following to meet WorkSafe Victoria licensing requirements:

  • Victorian Drivers Licence or proof of ID card
  • Passport or proof of Victorian Residence (Utilities bill or bank statement)
  • Rigging Basic (RB)

Qualifications and Recognition

Upon completion of this course, students will be issued with a Statement of Attainment.
