Course Overview

The qualification aims to provide the skills, knowledge and attributes to enable students to make informed choices about pathways to work and further education. Personal development, students’ interests and pathways for senior secondary students, in the context of applied learning, underpin the principles of VCAL. The VCAL acknowledges these principles by the development of knowledge and:

Employability skills that help prepare the student for employment and for participation in the broader context of family, community and lifelong learning

Skills that assist the student to make informed vocational choices within specific industry sectors and/or facilitate pathways to further learning.
